Good health is not just the absence of illness, but the freedom to live well every day. We're looking for a curious, professional and friendly GP to join our team and help people who aspire to better health.
Who We Are
We're The Chislehurst GP, from South London Medical; a small team inspired to start a private practice to focus on what matters most: high-quality care, proper time with patients, and continuity that makes a real difference. Our central mission is to increase the number of healthy years lived by our patients, and by joining our team you'll directly help us deliver on this vision.
Join us, and help patients add more years to their lives, and more lives to their years.
The Role
We're doctors who care deeply about our patients. As a GP on our team, you’ll have the time, space, and support to deliver care the way you believe it should be delivered. You’ll see patients for private GP consultations, preventative health checks, and minor procedures. You’ll listen, advise, and guide patients to better health outcomes.
Your day-to-day will be spent running clinics. In short, you'll have the autonomy to see, deal and follow up with patients, and to support them in achieving better health outcomes. You will:
- Undertake clinical work in accordance with the standards of good clinical practice.
- Conduct thorough health screenings and assessments in private GP consultations.
- Assess the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Translate complex diagnostic results into actionable insights.
- Craft personalised plans for lifestyle change to improve health outcomes.
- Follow up with patients on results and take appropriate action on investigations you've requested.
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions in accordance with the accepted prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Use our EHR (electronic health records) system for accurate documentation and management of patient records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant GMC / CQC / GDPR regulations; maintain respect and confidentiality of patient information.
- Collect data for audit purposes and contribute to clinical quality improvement activity, including audits.
- Liaise with patients' NHS GPs for seamless patient care coordination.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in medical diagnostics and preventive health.
- Champion patient education, inspiring proactive health management.
You
You're curious, confident, and thrive in an environment of supported autonomy to achieve high standards of care. We'll work together as partners, not just colleagues. Your remuneration will be based on a profit share from your clinics, and we'll thrive on collaborative opportunities to grow our joint impact.
You have:
- Experience in general practice with good clinical decision-making skills.
- Experience of working within the NHS, with the general public & in teams.
- IT Proficiency including MS office, e-records and e-prescribing. (We use Semble to manage our clinical work.)
- Great time management, organisation and flexibility.
- Pride in your work and in doing the best job you can.
- Initiative, judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and local knowledge.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
- The skills and manner to engage with your patients and colleagues as a friendly, professional partner.
- Accountability for delivering professional expertise and direct service provision.
- Latent curiosity, and a desire for continuous learning.
Beyond that, there are some requirements you need to meet to be eligible to work in this role:
- GMC registered GP with MRCGP qualification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training certificate.
- Current Adult and Children Safeguarding Level 3 training certificate.
- Registered on the NHS Performers List.
- Member of a Medical Defence Organisation.
- Immunisation status - Hep B / MMR.
- Eligible to work in UK.
- Able to work from our clinic in Chislehurst.
We're a fresh team looking for people like you to join us on our journey to increase the number of healthy years lived by our patients. If you want to work somewhere you can make your mark, and make a difference, we think you'll find this exciting.
