Job Overview:
Weatherweave Ltd are looking for a practical, technically minded person to support our team in both the workshop and office, combining hands-on manufacturing work with technical drawings, project preparation, and production support.
This is a hybrid role combining technical drawing, project preparation, and hands-on workshop involvement. The successful candidate will spend time both in the office and working alongside our workshop technicians, helping turn customer requirements into finished products. The role would suit somebody who enjoys real-world problem solving and doesn't want to be tied to a desk all day.
What You’ll Do
- Regularly work alongside our workshop technicians, contributing to the manufacture and fabrication of customer projects within both our PVC and metal fabrication environments
- Support workshop workflow, tooling, stock control, and ordering
- Prepare clear manufacturing information for projects entering production
- Create technical drawings (hand-drawn and computer based)
- Work from customer measurements and specifications
- Communicate with customers about project details and requirements
- Organise drawings, files, and job information

- Confident with technical sketches and drawings
- Calm communicator with a practical approach to problem solving both in the workshop and with customers

- Works well in a small, hands-on team
A practical "measure twice, cut once" attitude is highly valued within in our business.
Useful Experience
- Technical drawing by hand or workshop sketching/computer drawing
- Manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environments
- Project coordination or handling multiple jobs at once
- Practical workshop or production experience
