ABOUT THE ROLE
Direct mail is having a moment; and we're at the centre of it. As brands rediscover the power of print, DBS is growing fast. We need a sharp Account Executive to help us manage that growth. This is not a support role. You'll own your accounts. You'll take ownership of 8–12 live B2B marketing campaigns at any one time, managing client projects across retail, charity and financial services, balancing deadlines, commercial detail and client relationships. You'll be comfortable juggling priorities, asking the right questions, and making sure every campaign delivers accurately, on time and profitably.

This role suits someone who has already worked in a B2B environment. Whether at an agency, publisher, print supplier, data business or media owner, and is ready to take real ownership of client relationships.
It's probably not the right fit if you have:
Little or no account management exposure
No previous B2B client or agency experience
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own multiple live campaigns at any one time across different sectors including retail, charity and financial services clients
Manage incoming briefs, prepare quotes and ensure every project hits its objectives- Balance client expectations with internal production realities, calmly and commercially
Work alongside Customer Relationship Managers to identify and grow revenue opportunities
Prepare client reports, contribute to meetings and introduce new DBS products and services- Engage with campaign data and analytics; understanding what worked and why
CAREER PROGRESSION
Account Executive → Senior Account Manager (18–24 months) → Client Director Successful Account Executives can step up to Senior Account Manager within 18–24 months, taking on greater portfolio responsibility, leading client strategy and playing a key role in new business development.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
3+ years in a B2B client-facing or agency role
Confident, commercially sharp and highly organised
Strong communicator with genuine attention to detail
Comfortable with numbers, reading a data count or print quote doesn't faze you
Curious about data-driven marketing and how it drives campaign decisions
A team player who supports colleagues and takes shared goals seriously
Backgrounds we'd love to hear from: marketing or data agencies, print or direct mail, media sales, publishing, B2B account management.
WHAT WE OFFER
£28,000–£35,000 base salary, depending on experience
Performance bonus — OTE up to £38,000
Clear progression path to Senior Account Manager within 18–24 months
