We are seeking a caring and resilient Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support KS3 pupils within a welcoming and highly inclusive specialist setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to join a nurturing school community where every pupil is valued as an individual. Many students are working at a primary learning level and benefit from creative, personalised, and hands-on approaches to learning that help them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
The Role
- Support pupils with complex learning, communication, and emotional needs
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Support students’ personal development and independence
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Is patient, compassionate, and positive
- Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Is adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
- Works well as part of a supportive team
Previous SEND experience is helpful but not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided. The school is looking for individuals with the right attitude, empathy, and commitment to making a difference.
