Location: Hybrid role with the expectation to work across Telford and Stafford
Salary: £10.58 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Apprenticeship, 2 year fixed-term
We are now offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Data Protection Apprentice to join our in-house legal team. This is a career-development role where you will gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced legal professionals, and achieve a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Protection Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s commitment to safeguarding personal data and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
You will be responsible for handling data protection enquiries from colleagues across the business, providing guidance and practical advice on a wide range of data protection queries and concerns. This will involve building strong working relationships and delivering clear, customer-focused support.
In addition, you will support the creation and publication of data protection updates across internal and external platforms, helping to promote awareness and best practice throughout the organisation. You will also contribute to the development of engaging training materials to educate colleagues on data protection principles and responsibilities.
This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to build foundational knowledge and practical experience in data protection within a professional environment.

What we’re looking for:

GCSE’s Grade 4 and above in English and Maths, or the equivalent is essential

Basic Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills

Ability to compose simple emails and documents

Basic record-keeping skills

Clear communication skills (phone, email, Teams, and face-to-face)

Ability to work well in a team

Willingness to learn about the organisation and its services

Awareness of Health & Safety, Confidentiality, and Data Protection (training provided)

Professional and respectful manner

Full UK driving licence or willingness to work towards obtaining one
