Overview
We are seeking reliable and skilled Class 2 and 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This role requires a keen understanding of driving regulations and the ability to navigate various routes.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicle with safely and efficiently for deliveries
- Ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules
- Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies
- Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne and class 2 vehicles
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and driving best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service
