Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plasterer to join our construction team. This role offers hands-on experience along with collage course in plastering and related trades, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the building industry. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced tradespeople, gaining practical skills across various aspects of construction and finishing work. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and application of plastering materials on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Support the installation of insulation, lathing, and backing boards as required.
- Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Contribute to the preparation of work sites, including setting up scaffolding and protective coverings.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.
- Support with related tasks such as masonry, carpentry, or basic electrical work as part of broader construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.
Requirements
- A keen interest in construction, plastering, or related trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, or electrical work.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in building environments.
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake practical training on-site.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely at all times.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience or knowledge in construction painting, masonry, schematics reading, or fabrication is advantageous but not essential. This apprenticeship provides a structured pathway into a skilled trade within the construction industry, fostering professional growth through practical experience and mentorship.
Pay: £240.00-£280.00 per week
