Evening Manager/Overnight Manager

Hours: 5:00pm – 1:00am (Evening Shifts) 10:00pm - 8:00am (Overnight Shifts)

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and personable Evening Manager to join our team at a prestigious wedding venue in the heart of Suffolk. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional wedding experiences while ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our venue throughout the evening.
As the face of the venue during evening service, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of presentation, guest care, and venue security. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment, possess excellent communication skills, and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Customer Care
- Act as a welcoming and approachable point of contact for wedding guests throughout the evening.
- Assist guests as required and ensure they are safe and comfortable during their visit.
- Support guests leaving the venue, helping to ensure their safe departure at the end of the event.
- Provide a calm and professional presence, resolving any issues efficiently and discreetly.
Venue Management & Security
- Take responsibility for the security and safety of the venue during evening operations.
- Conduct regular checks of the venue and grounds to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
- Ensure all areas remain clean, presentable, and ready for use throughout the event.
- Assist with end-of-night venue closing procedures and secure the premises.
Event Operations
- Liaise effectively with wedding couples, guests, suppliers, and venue staff to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Support event setup and breakdown activities as required.
- Ensure all wedding décor, personal items, and supplier equipment are carefully packed away, organised, and stored to facilitate easy collection after the event.
- Assist with practical venue tasks, including moving wedding items, furniture, and laying dance floors.

- Be reliable, trustworthy, and flexible in their approach to work.
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, venue management, or customer-facing roles would be advantageous but is not essential.
