We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing service appointments, providing expert advice on vehicle repairs, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and establish a professional rapport to understand their vehicle concerns.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow efficiently to maximise productivity.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services, explaining technical information in a clear and friendly manner.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance options where appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Liaise with the workshop team to communicate customer requirements and ensure timely completion of work.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Maintain organised records of customer interactions, service histories, and sales activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive industry or similar environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritising customer needs.
- Competent in cash handling and basic administrative tasks.
- Organised, proactive, with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple appointments efficiently.
