Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic restaurant environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth service, and supporting the overall operation of the venue. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are equally valued. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently to optimise seating arrangements
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and waiting zones
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with food safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support with basic food preparation tasks as required, adhering to health and safety standards
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions securely
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front of house and back of house teams
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; a friendly demeanour is key
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent guest service skills with a professional attitude and positive approach
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience with serving, upselling, and providing attentive customer care
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
