Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Alloy Wheel Technician to join our wheel refurbishment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining alloy wheels to the highest standards. Duties
- Inspect alloy wheels for damage, corrosion, and defects.
- Repair scuffs, scratches, and minor damages using specialised tools and techniques.
- Refurbish wheels by sanding, polishing, and applying powder coatings.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and specialised equipment to disassemble and reassemble wheels.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently during refurbishment processes.
- Perform heavy lifting of alloy wheels and related components to facilitate repairs or replacements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety standards.
- Keep detailed records of work performed on each wheel for quality assurance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical/ Powdercoating or painting knowledge with experience in automotive or wheel repair preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for refurbishment tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength to handle alloy wheels and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Prior experience in wheel refurbishment or automotive repair is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to enhance their technical skills within the automotive industry while contributing to a high standard of service delivery.
