We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ISTD Tap Teacher to join our vibrant dance academy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tap dance, with the ability to inspire and develop students of various ages and skill levels. Duties
- Deliver engaging tap dance lessons in accordance with ISTD syllabi, ensuring students understand technique and musicality
- Design tailored lesson plans to suit individual student needs and progression levels
- Prepare students for examinations, performances, and competitions as required
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages confidence and enjoyment in dance
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe studio environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
- Promote the dance programme through social media and community outreach initiatives
Experience
- recognised ISTD Tap Teaching qualification or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching tap dance at various levels, from beginner to advanced
- Strong understanding of ISTD syllabi and examination requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all ages
- Previous experience organising performances or competitions is desirable
- Passionate about dance education with a commitment to fostering student growth and confidence
