DegreeSix are a specialist SEN agency who are working in partnership with a local school to support their recruitment, in order to grow and support more students over the next few years, this meaning permanent opportunities are on offer!
You will be working either 1:1 or within small groups to support pupils with varied needs such as Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, Early Life Trauma, Complex Needs and Learning Difficulties!
This role is initially long-term, hours are 8:30-16:15 with a Friday early finish!
You will need to be able to commit to this position long term to provide consistency for students, you'll could then have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position within the school.
Start date: Ideally ASAP although open to September start
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, focusing on their individual educational needs and personal development.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive interactions and emotional well-being.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued and encouraged to express themselves.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- DBS registered to the update service, or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in similar settings, such as youth work, sports coaching, social work etc
- Driving Licence will be essential due to rural location
