What does the average day look like?
An average day involves managing the Health and Safety Systems Development team to deliver compliant system changes within agreed timescales, while translating strategic direction into practical development plans.
This also includes leading system projects, engaging with stakeholders and suppliers, providing expert advice, and ensuring system integrity through effective administration, testing, and continuous improvement to meet operational and compliance needs.
A little bit about the team...
The team is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple systems across various platforms, ensuring they operate effectively and meet business needs.
They work closely with customers to understand requirements and collaborate with suppliers to deliver system improvements, while balancing differing regional demands and responding swiftly to system issues; supported by line management of two direct reports to maintain strong performance and service delivery.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of Health and Safety systems and data processes, combined with experience managing teams in system and software development, ideally within Microsoft Power Platform environments.
The role requires excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, the ability to oversee multiple workstreams, and a customer-focused approach, supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience and a solid technical understanding of software systems and their development.
Essential Criteria
In-depth understanding of Health and Safety system and data processes
Experience of managing a team in the development of systems
Excellent communication skills and a customer focussed approach
Experience managing stakeholders at all levels
Experience of managing a team in software development technologies,
Experience of scheduling and managing multiple workstreams
A technical understanding of software systems and their development
A degree in a relevant subject such as one that is IT related, or equivalent qualification or experience
