Block Pay | Full-Time Hours | Immediate Start Available
Care Contingency has been providing high-quality care staffing across Devon for several years. We’re now recruiting Community Care Assistants to support people in their own homes, helping them live safely and independently.
This is a domiciliary care role with block pay, meaning you’re paid for your full working hours – not just the time spent with clients.
What does a Domiciliary Care Assistant do?
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll visit people in their own homes to help them with everyday tasks so they can remain independent. This can include:
- Providing personal care such as washing or dressing
- Supporting with meals and medication
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Helping with light household duties or errands
- Reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
It’s a role that makes a genuine difference every day — perfect for someone caring, reliable, and motivated to help others.
What’s on offer:
- Block pay – shift payment, not per call
- Set rotas available for consistent planning
- Guaranteed hours available (subject to individual circumstances after probation)
- Supportive and approachable management team
- Work that genuinely impacts your local community
- Opportunity to gain your NVQ in Health and Social Care while working with us
What we’re looking for:
- A caring, reliable, and adaptable approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
- Experience in care is preferred but not required – full training provided
- Enhanced DBS (we can assist with this if needed)
If you’re looking for meaningful work, fair pay, and a supportive team that invests in your development, we’d love to hear from you.
