Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Salary: £125 - £168.80 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications)

Heart of Supply is working with secondary schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas to recruit enthusiastic Early Career Teachers for flexible teaching opportunities starting this summer. Whether you’re looking for regular day-to-day work, a longer-term placement in your subject area or the chance to experience a variety of schools before committing permanently, we’d love to support you at the start of your career.
You’ll teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 within your subject specialism, delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment and helping students stay motivated and engaged in their learning. Every day can look a little different, giving you the chance to build confidence quickly, strengthen your behaviour management skills and gain valuable experience with a wide range of learners.
We’re looking for teachers who are resilient, adaptable and passionate about making their subject interesting and accessible. You’ll be someone who builds rapport naturally, communicates clearly and brings energy into the classroom from the moment you walk through the door.
About the schools
We work with a wide network of supportive secondary schools across Lincolnshire, including academies, local authority schools and mixed comprehensive settings. Many of our partner schools have strong behaviour systems, welcoming departments and experienced staff teams who understand the importance of supporting Early Career Teachers as they begin their journey.
What you will need:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience in a UK secondary setting
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
- The ability to build positive relationships with students quickly
- A calm, consistent approach to classroom management
- Flexibility, reliability and a willingness to embrace different school settings
- Passionate about supporting diverse learners and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a dynamic educational setting.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. This role provides valuable experience for early career teachers eager to develop their teaching expertise in a supportive environment dedicated to student success.
- A minimum of 6 weeks’ teaching experience in the UK
