They are now on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to support the business with an influx of business with opportunities for further growth.

The Role of Quality Inspector:
- Inspect PCBs, cables and electro-mechanical assemblies from suppliers and in-house production.
- Conduct patrol inspections within assembly and test areas to maintain workmanship standards.
- Identify and report quality issues, component discrepancies and drawing inaccuracies.
- Verify inspection documentation and certification requirements.
- Inspect coils, cables, battery packs and other assemblies for defects, correct labelling and workmanship.
- Maintain inspection records and reject notes using the Syspro ERP system.
- Authorise products as fit for dispatch in line with company procedures.
- Prioritise inspection activities to support production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across Quality and Operations.
The Person for the Quality Inspector:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good IT skills; Knowledge and experience of working with computerised stock control and MRP systems, i.e. SYSPRO. As well as a variety of IT packages including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of electrostatic dissipative devices (ESD) requirements
- Knowledge and experience of process control techniques/surface mount and through-hole technology relating to PCB assemblies.
- Previous experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Full colour vision
- Ability to lift equipment. For heavier items appropriate lifting equipment will be available.
- Soldering skills (desirable)
