The College are recruiting for Medical Escorts to work with the Health & Wellbeing Centre team, escorting our boarding pupils to pre-arranged health appointments away from our site. This routinely involves pre-appointed trips to GP surgeries, Dentist, Chiropody and Hospital appointments, however on occasions pupils will need to be escorted to the Accident and Emergency department or Minor injuries service for emergency treatment.
You will be calm, sympathetic, patient, and caring and have an awareness of safeguarding children and how to maintain the safety of our pupils. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with good knowledge of health services.
Successful candidates will be required to support children and young people of various ages, without direct supervision. You will need to communicate effectively and professionally with a range of Health service providers, to advocate for pupils during their appointments and feedback to the nursing team on your return.
Medical Escorts would be required to work term time only.
