Chef de Partie (CDP)
Location: The Elephant Hotel, Pangbourne
Department: Kitchen
Reports to: Sous Chef / Head Chef
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. Working across our busy service, including our premium steak restaurant, weddings, events, and bar menu, you will take ownership of your section and deliver consistently high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities
- Run and manage your designated section of the kitchen
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with company specs and recipes
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards (in line with HACCP)
- Support junior team members and assist with their development
- Work closely with the Sous and Head Chef to ensure smooth service
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Contribute to menu ideas and daily specials where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Passion for quality food, ideally with experience in a premium or steak-led kitchen
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
