We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Road Surfacing Manager to join our team at Hillhouse Group in Paisley.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of safely delivering Road Surfacing and Street Works operations in accordance with statutory legislation and approved specifications.
Previous experience of managing multiple surfacing squads, across a variety of contracts simultaneously, is essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to schedule labour and plant to ensure completion of works within programme and budget. Control of labour, annual leave and costs is required.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will be supported in their role by the Commercial Manager and senior management team.
The company uses Teams, Microsoft Office and TSheets for managing contracts and labour, therefore, sound IT skills are required, however, training on TSheets will be provided.
Key Responsibilities include: –
- Initial Site Meetings with clients to assess works & review Health & Safety plans
- Supervision of Works
- Management of Site Works
- Management of Health & Safety on site
- Management of Materials and waste
- Planning of labour, plant & materials resources
- Review of operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within road surfacing / construction industry (Essential)
- Valid CSCS (Essential)
- NEBOSH / IOSH Qualification (Preferable)
- SMSTS (Preferable)
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Essential)
