What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing. Every individual we support has unique needs, and you will play an important role in helping them achieve their personal goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with daily living activities
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Helping with meal preparation, cooking, and household tasks
- Supporting individuals to access community activities and local services
- Promoting independence, confidence, and social inclusion
- Supporting individuals with medication in line with care plans and policies
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support services
- Encouraging service users to develop life skills and achieve personal goals
- Supporting mobility and moving & handling activities where required
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in people who genuinely care about others and want to make a difference.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Community Support Worker, or within Social Care
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and flexible approach to work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for recording support notes
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred support practices
- Full UK Driving Licence
