Help Us Build Something Special
At Evolve Commercial Cleaning, we believe businesses don't change cleaning companies because of one bad clean.
They change because of inconsistent standards, poor communication and broken promises.
That's why we're building a different kind of commercial cleaning company—one built on reliability, professionalism, accountability and genuinely caring about both our clients and our staff.
We're looking for an Assistant Operations Manager who shares those values and wants to become an important part of our future.
This role starts at 15 hours per week, but we see it as the beginning of a long-term career opportunity.
We're an ambitious, growing business, and as we continue to win new contracts, we expect this role to grow too. For the right person, there will be opportunities for increased hours, greater responsibility and genuine career progression into a more senior management role.
If you're looking for a position where you can make a real difference and grow alongside the business, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are ever the same.
You'll work closely with our Operations Manager, acting as the link between our clients, our cleaning teams and the business.
You'll spend much of your time travelling between client sites, maintaining standards, supporting our teams, solving operational problems and ensuring our clients continue to receive the outstanding service they're promised.
You'll be trusted to work independently, make sensible decisions and represent Evolve professionally at all times.
What Might a Typical Day Look Like?
Every day is different, but your responsibilities could include:
Carrying Out Quality Audits
Visit commercial client sites to complete quality audits, assess cleaning standards, identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to both the cleaning team and management.
Providing Emergency Cover
If a cleaner is unexpectedly unavailable and cover cannot be arranged, you'll step in and complete the clean yourself, ensuring our clients continue to receive the high standards they expect from Evolve.
Inducting New Team Members
Meet new cleaners on site, introduce them to the building, explain site-specific procedures, demonstrate cleaning standards and ensure they have everything they need to succeed from day one.
Training and Coaching Staff
Work alongside cleaners to improve standards, demonstrate best practice and provide practical one-to-one coaching where additional support is needed.
Maintaining Health & Safety Standards
Check that cleaning chemicals are stored safely, equipment is in good condition, COSHH procedures are being followed and Health & Safety standards are maintained across all sites.
Delivering Equipment and Supplies
Deliver cleaning products and equipment to sites, ensuring every team has the resources they need to carry out their work safely and effectively.
Supporting Clients
Build positive relationships with clients, check that everything is running smoothly, respond to any concerns and help ensure every client receives excellent service.
Supporting the Operations Team
Work closely with the Operations Manager to improve systems, maintain standards, solve problems and help the business continue to grow.
