Trustee Opportunity (Voluntary Role)
Organisation: Ravensbourne Project
Location: Hybrid / London-based (with occasional in-person meetings)
Commitment: Approx. 6–10 days per year

The Opportunity
We are seeking committed and skilled individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is a key governance role, providing strategic oversight, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the organisation to deliver on its mission and long-term objectives.
As a Trustee, you will work collaboratively with fellow Board members and senior leadership to provide constructive challenge, guidance, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight of organisational performance
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (including Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks)
- Monitor financial performance and ensure effective use of resources
- Support risk management and governance frameworks
- Act in the best interests of the organisation and its beneficiaries
- Promote a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and continuous improvement
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Safeguarding and children’s services
- Ofsted-regulated environments
- Finance, audit, or legal governance
- HR and organisational development
- Health & social care leadership

Additional Information
- This is a voluntary role; reasonable expenses may be reimbursed
- Trustees will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Regular board meetings are held quarterly, with occasional additional meetings as required
