Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, and adaptable Café Manager to lead our team at Viv’s Café.
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Cafe Manager to support the day-to-day running of the café. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering excellent service, maintaining high standards, and developing a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service
- Own the day-to-day running of the café across all areas
- Ensure smooth, efficient service during busy periods
- Maintain consistently high standards of quality and customer experience
Team Leadership
- Manage, train, and support all café staff (front of house and kitchen)
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Build a motivated, accountable, and high-performing team
Rotas & Staffing
- Manage staff rotas and ensure effective staffing levels
- Monitor team performance and support ongoing development
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation at all times
- Ensure all staff are trained on equipment and procedures
Stock & Business Performance
- Oversee stock management and general café operations
- Be commercially aware and support business performance and targets
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes where needed
Communication & Development
- Work closely with senior management on strategy, ideas, and improvements
- Contribute to the growth and development of the café
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Experience managing or supervising in a café or similar environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Commercial awareness and a target-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

Availability
- Full-time availability
- Flexible across weekdays and weekends
- Willingness to work a mix of opening (7am - 14:00) and closing shifts (12:00 - 18:00), as well as full day shifts
- Happy to work busy periods and lead from the front
- Understanding of KPI’s and how to improve them.
