Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations while contributing to a vibrant dining experience for our guests. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with our standards and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations to comply with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality standards
- Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure continuous workflow
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or as a line cook within a restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cooking techniques across various cuisines preferred
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices essential
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask effectively
- Prior restaurant or catering experience will be considered an advantage
- Serving experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential

Pay: £12.71-£12.72 per hour
