About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised cook to join our friendly team.

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys homemade food, fresh ingredients, and helping children develop positive relationships with food from an early age.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with current food safety and hygiene standards
- Work closely with the staff team to ensure adherence to our allergy policy
- Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen records
- Plan and organise the daily kitchen routine independently
- Work with management to develop existing menus in line with government guidance on early years nutrition
What We’re Looking For
- Experience cooking for large numbers
- A good understanding of healthy eating and nutrition
- Organised, reliable, and confident working independently
- Able to manage a small kitchen calmly and efficiently
- Someone who takes pride in preparing food for young children
- Friendly and happy to be part of a wider nursery team
Desirable but not essential:
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above.) Training can be provided for the right candidate with practical experience.
Experience in a nursery, school, residential home or similar setting.
