Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced chef de partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the chef de partie will support the Head Chef and sous chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of a diverse range of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff during service periods, providing guidance and support to maintain efficiency.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff to foster a cohesive team environment.
- Assist in menu planning and innovation to keep offerings fresh and appealing to guests.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, presentation standards, and ingredient utilisation.
- Experience in managing food production processes from prep through to service delivery.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles.
