Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment, providing food and beverage service in a professional setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your skills and efforts.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Serve food items promptly and courteously to guests at their tables or bar area
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas throughout shifts
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and ensure responsible service of alcohol
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
- Assist with setting up tables, organising reservations, and clearing tables after service
- Uphold food safety standards and comply with health regulations at all times
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience, ensuring satisfaction and repeat visits
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, particularly as a bartender or server, is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management to prioritise tasks during peak hours
- Ability to work well within a team environment, maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Personal presentation that reflects the standards of the establishment
