PB Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for Transport Planner to be based permanently in Ashbourne Mill.
Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
Successful candidate can possibly start right away under the TTP (TEMP-PERM) , working with the agency for 12 weeks under weekly pay scheme.

- 4 days on 4 days off
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages.
- Decisive decision making.

- Able to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience with planning software.
- Previous Transport planning experience.
- Knowledge of current driving legislation.
Job Purpose:
To fully utilize all vehicles and services available, to plan and delivery all programmed tonnage to farm on time and within budget. To ‘live’ welfare as a condition with the opportunity to grow and develop via our bespoke Agriculture Academy. ‘Growing our own’ agriculture specialists and leaders of the future is something that is extremely important to our client.
Principal Objectives:
- To gain a full understanding of poultry.
- Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with the company competency framework.
- To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
- To ensure all farm orders are delivered on time as planned.
- Collect orders from farmers.
- Input orders onto the system.
- Communicate effectively with farmers.
- General administration duties.
- To fully meet order requirements and effectively communicate to the appropriate parties internal and external any necessary deviations.
- Strive to work within the allocated transport budget and KPI’s.
- Actively seek to improve systems, performance and reduce costs.
- Monitor that all drivers are suitably trained, equipped, and mentored to ensure legal compliance at all times.
- Ensure all records are suitably filed to comply with audit and legal requirements.
- To ensure that all work carried out by the mill drivers and 3rd party fully comply with company the health and safety and environmental policies whilst on site and farms.
- To monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from the processes within area of responsibility; ensuring that all direct reports and colleagues are briefed and clear in regards to their responsibilities as outlined in the Risk Management System Manual.
- Able to provide out of hours mobile phone cover.
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required.
