Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cook/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a team, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive work atmosphere. The Cook/Supervisor will play a crucial part in maintaining high-quality food production and service, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve food inline with agreed standards and recipes and ensure high standards and quality is maintained.
- To ensure the hygiene standard of the premises remain high and compliant
- Contribute to the delivery of training and induction of other staff and new recruits.
- Contribute to menu development with changes as agreed
- Ensure stock is of highest quality and that at all times we have what is needed to fulfil the menu
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepped, cooked and delivered to an excellent standard
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean and tidy, safe and that relevant food safety legislation and allergen standards are adhered to.
- Manage online ordering and home delivery process to ensure timely delivery of food and accurate ETA information is given to customers.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong management skills with previous supervising or leadership experience in a culinary environment
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service
- Familiarity with fast food operations, including inventory management
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to train staff and interact professionally with customers
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
