Overview
Green Leaf Gardens are seeking a dedicated Gardening Assistant to support the maintenance and enhancement of one of our private estates in Horley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about horticulture, landscape maintenance, and gardening to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the 12 acre estate. Candidate must be able to comute to and from RH60HR each day.
Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, weeding, and watering plants to ensure healthy growth.
- Operate hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and hoes for routine garden tasks.
- Handle power tools including lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Support with soil preparation, fertilisation, and composting activities.
- Aid in the installation of new plants, flower beds, and landscape features.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored correctly.
Skills
- Experience with gardening and horticulture practices is preferred; training will be provided for eager learners.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including digging, lifting.
- A genuine interest in gardening, landscape maintenance, and environmental sustainability.

Pay: £16,640.00-£26,437.00 per year
