Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Fun Foundations Day Nursery in Bridgend in September 2026. In this vital role, you will support the management team in delivering high-quality childcare services and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations and staff management.
- Support the implementation of educational programs and activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Support staff training and professional development initiatives.
- Monitor and support the wellbeing of children in your care.
- Assist with administrative duties related to nursery operations.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher).
- First aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
