We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established primary school for a Breakfast Club Leader to oversee their popular before-school provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and caring individual who enjoys working with children and creating a safe, engaging environment where they can thrive before the school day begins.
The Role
As Breakfast Club Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the breakfast club, ensuring children receive high-quality care in a fun, safe and stimulating setting. You will lead activities, supervise children, manage another playworker and contribute to the ongoing development of the club's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operation of the breakfast club.
- Create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for children.
- Plan and deliver enjoyable activities suitable for a range of ages.
- Supervise and support another member of the breakfast club team.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare.
- Support the continuous improvement of the club through effective policies and procedures.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare or play setting.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive, reliable and proactive approach.
Experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:20am – 8:50am
- Term Time Only
Pay: £14.25-£16.82 per hour
