We are delighted to invite applications for the position of Key Stage 1 Class Teacher at our thriving and inclusive primary school in Newham, east London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and nurturing practitioner to join our well-established KS1 team from September. We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers and those on the Main Pay Scale (MPS1–MPS6, Inner London) who are committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
Our school is a three-form entry primary with 569 pupils and has been graded Good by Ofsted. We are proud of our strong Early Years and Key Stage 1 provision, our inclusive ethos, and our deep-rooted connections within the local community. About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Teach within a supportive and collaborative KS1 team
- Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons that reflect strong KS1 pedagogy, including play-rich learning approaches
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all children can succeed
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a secure understanding of effective teaching and learning in Key Stage 1
- Demonstrates a warm, reflective, and positive approach to teaching
- Is committed to high standards and the achievement of every child
- Works collaboratively and contributes fully to school life
