Portfolio Contract Manager
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Contract Manager to oversee multiple cleaning contracts across industrial and commercial sites. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading large operational teams delivering high-quality internal and external cleaning services, including offices, washrooms, welfare facilities, warehouses, concrete yards, loading bays and other external hard-surface areas.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage a portfolio of cleaning contracts across multiple client sites.
· Lead, coach and develop a team of 50+ cleaning operatives and supervisors.
· Ensure consistently high standards of internal and external cleaning, including offices, welfare facilities, washrooms, warehouses and external operational areas.
· Plan and allocate labour, equipment and resources to meet contractual requirements and KPIs.
· Manage specialist cleaning operations using jet washers, ride-on scrubbers, sweepers and other industrial cleaning equipment.
· Carry out regular quality audits and site inspections.
· Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, COSHH, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, resolving issues promptly and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
· Monitor staffing levels, productivity, budgets and contract performance.
· Support recruitment, training, performance management and employee development.
What we’re looking for
· Previous experience managing multiple cleaning contracts or large operational teams within the commercial cleaning, facilities management or industrial services sector.
· Experience with power washing / external hard-surface cleaning
· Strong leadership and organisational skills
· Knowledge of health & safety regulations
· Ability to manage multi-site or large-scale operations
