We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients before, during, and after treatments.
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare treatment rooms for appointments, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Provide patients with post-treatment advice and instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with GDPR and practice protocols.
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence when required.
- Uphold strict infection control standards throughout all clinical activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and administrative duties using Exact.
- Relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK healthcare system.
- Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy towards patients.
