We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Practitioner / Nurse to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing environment. Duties
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children's developmental milestones
- Provide first aid and ensure the health and safety of all children in accordance with regulatory standards
- Support children's emotional well-being and foster positive behaviour through effective communication and guidance
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Manage daily routines including meal times, naps, and outdoor play sessions
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the nursery setting
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff or interns as required
- Drive company policies on safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid driving licence preferred for transporting children or supplies when necessary
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or equivalent professional registration as a nurse specialising in paediatrics or health visiting
- Compassionate, patient, organised, and proactive attitude towards childcare responsibilities
