Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our aquatic education team. This role involves delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of various ages and skill levels, fostering confidence and safety in the water. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, sports coaching experience, and a commitment to promoting water safety and enjoyment. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the needs of each participant, ensuring progress and safety.
- Assess learners’ abilities and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe and organised poolside environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment in swimming activities.
- Monitor and record learner progress, updating records accurately for each session.
- Promote water safety awareness among learners and their guardians.
Qualifications
- recognised Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within aquatic environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages.
- Passionate about teaching, with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism in all activities.
- Previous experience working with children or vulnerable groups is desirable but not essential.
