Job Summary
This job is for care in the community - bank hours only (variable hours)
We pay:
- Day rate: (£13.50 per hr + 8% uplift for travel on care hours worked)
=£14.58 per hour worked
+ holiday pay
= £16.21 effective hourly rate.
- Evening & Weekend rate: (£14.50 per hr + 8% uplift for travel on care hours worked)
=£15.66 per hour worked
+ holiday pay
= £17.41 effective hourly rate.
+ 45p per mile petrol allowance.
These positions are for domiciliary care (variable hours) so you MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAR AND UK DRIVING LICENCE.
We visit people who live at home in the Waterlooville and surrounding areas.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals who live in their own homes around Waterlooville and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and completing daily routines
- Follow personalised care plans to meet individual needs effectively
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required (Must have UK driving licence & car)
Experience
- Previous experience working in social care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues
- Valid UK driving licence & your own car is a necessity.
