Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for billing purposes.
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations within the establishment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- A basic understanding of bartending techniques and beverage preparation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to the team atmosphere is essential.
