Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to various locations and assisting / covering warehouse duties.. The ideal candidate will have some experience in commercial driving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to support both logistics and warehouse operations.
Duties
- Safely operate company delivery vans, adhering to all road safety regulations
- Deliver goods to customers efficiently and on schedule, ensuring accurate order fulfilment
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, including manual handling and fork truck loading.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Keep the warehouse clean and organised, supporting overall operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues
Skills
- Full driving licence, preferably with some multi drop experience.
- Fork truck driving experience advantageous.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, including stock organisation and manual handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
- Over the age of 25 for insurance purposes
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks involved in loading, unloading, and stock management

Pay: From £26,615.00 per year
