Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bank Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Support the cooking process under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Help with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory checks
- Serve meals to customers or clients in a courteous and efficient manner
- Support the overall organisation of the kitchen to ensure smooth operation during service times
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene practices is preferred
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related roles will be considered a plus
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
