Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fence Erector to join our family run Fencing company based in Wrexham to work on sites in the Wrexham & North Wales area. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing fencing across various sites. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in construction-related trades will be advantageous, and a proactive attitude is essential to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark out fence lines according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to install fence panels, posts, and gates
- Dig post holes using appropriate equipment, ensuring stability and alignment
- Assemble fencing components with precision, ensuring secure fittings
- Collaborate with site managers and team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of installed fences for quality assurance and durability
Skills
- Must have experience in installing various types of fencing from timber/concrete and steel Mesh Systems.
- Familiarity with working on a construction site.
- Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and measuring tapes
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, saws, post drivers, and grinders
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights if necessary
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards
Training & Certificates
- CSCS card would be an advantage.
- Asbestos awareness/ Face fit, Manual handling would be an advantage.
- DBS would also be an advantage.
- Training on all the above can be offered.
