Job Summary:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of injection moulding machines and related automation systems at customer sites. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong technical skills and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Set up and calibrate injection moulding machines at customer facilities and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PC-related issues. Perform preventive maintenance and machine upgrades.
- Customer Support & Training: Provide technical support via phone, remote tools, and on-site visits. Train operators and maintenance staff on machine operation and best practices.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed service reports including work performed, parts used, and recommendations. Communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Feedback to engineering teams on machine performance and field issues. Assist in developing standardized service procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 2–5 years in plastics injection moulding machinery service or related field. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PCs, and robotics.
- Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80–90%). Valid driver’s license and passport.
Physical & Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments. Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible work hours.
