Accounts Senior

A well‑established and people‑focused accountancy practice is seeking an Accounts Senior to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities
The role will involve a varied workload, including:
- Preparing year‑end accounts and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships to draft stage
- Assisting with audit assignments as required
- Preparing corporation tax computations to draft stage
- Completing Self‑Assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships
- Supporting the training and development of junior team members
- Liaising with other departments, including payroll and bookkeeping, to ensure efficient client service
Work will be carried out both in the office and at client premises. Occasional travel between offices may be required, so flexibility and willingness to travel are desirable.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be qualified by experience, with a minimum of three years’ experience in accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and solid Excel skills
- A good working understanding of accounting standards and relevant tax matters
- Experience supporting audit engagements (desirable)
- The ability to prepare year‑end accounts, corporation tax returns, Self‑Assessment returns, and P11Ds
- A positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach
- Strong organisational skills and pride in delivering high‑quality work
- Openness to feedback and a desire to continue developing skills within a team environment
