Bank Support Worker
£14.25 per hour
We’re looking for compassionate and resilient individuals to join our therapeutic children’s home. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a supportive team that genuinely changes lives.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll help ensure our young people are safe, settled and supported throughout the day or night.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children to navigate their daily routine
- Managing incidents calmly and professionally
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Ensuring the home remains secure and well-presented
- Support children with daily activities, promoting their independence and confidence
- Foster positive relationships through effective communication and empathetic engagement
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies
- Facilitate recreational activities and educational opportunities suitable for the children's age and interests
- Support children with their emotional and behavioural needs using appropriate strategies
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress in accordance with organisational procedures
- Drive company vehicles when required to transport children or attend appointments
- Handing over effectively to the day team
- Shifts are 10am - 10pm or 10am overnight to 10am

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to follow care plans accurately whilst adapting to individual needs
- Good IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's development
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required; reliability and punctuality are essential
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies is advantageous
