What You Need to Know About the Role
As a Transport Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of goods to customers. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the site's transport planning and distribution activities, aligning logistics operations with both commercial objectives and production schedules.
You will be responsible for gathering and analysing transport-related data, inputting this information into relevant systems to initiate transport requests. A key part of your role will be to maintain clear and effective communication between the production planning team, commercial departments, and external transport providers. This coordination is essential to ensure that customer demands are met efficiently, while also considering the limitations of operational capacity.
Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What We Need to Know About You
We’re looking for someone who is self-driven, highly organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You should be confident in your ability to prioritise workload effectively and demonstrate strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
You’ll need to have a solid foundation in administrative processes, with a particular emphasis on proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience in handling logistics or transport coordination is highly desirable, but not essential if you bring the right mindset and transferable skills.
Strong communication skills are a must—you’ll be liaising with various internal teams and external partners, so the ability to build relationships and convey information clearly and professionally is key. We value individuals who are collaborative, solution-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
