About the Course
This Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing is accredited by City & Guilds and delivered nationwide through a blend of interactive E-Learning and practical training. Upon completion, you’ll receive:
- A Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3
- Functional Skills qualifications in English or Maths (if required)
Your Role as a Dental Nurse
As a vital member of the dental team, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier patient care and ensuring a safe, clean environment. Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the dentist during treatments such as fillings, extractions, and composite bonding
- Sterilizing equipment and maintaining infection control
- Preparing the surgery and ensuring all materials are stocked and ready
- Updating and managing patient records
- Performing reception duties

Training Structure
This apprenticeship is delivered by Tempdent, a leading dental training provider. The program combines:
- On-the-job training at a dental practice
- Online study and weekly teaching sessions, accessible anywhere in the UK
- End Point Assessment (EPA) to evaluate your knowledge
Off-the-job training is fully funded by your employer, so you can focus on developing your skills without worry.
Schedule (not exact exact shifts but will fall between these timeframes)
- Monday - Friday 08:15am - 17:15pm
