Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Head Chef on behalf of our city centre client in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the kitchen of a well-established and highly regarded bar & restaurant known for its fresh, locally sourced food and excellent customer experience.
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards in food quality, presentation, hygiene, and team performance.
Lead, manage, and motivate a team of 6 chefs
Oversee all kitchen operations in a busy city centre venue
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality and consistency
Develop and deliver fresh, seasonal menus using local produce
Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen budgets
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety regulations
Train and support junior kitchen staff
Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure excellent service
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Passion for fresh, locally sourced food
Excellent organisational and communication abilities
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends
