This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy food preparation team within a thriving food manufacturing facility. You'll be working on a fast‑moving production line, playing a vital role in delivering high‑quality food products while maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and safety.
- Based in Bedale
- Working Pattern: 4 days on 2 days off
- Occasional Saturday working during busy production periods (1 in 4)
- Hours: 7am start, finish times vary (approx. 40 hours per week)
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), free lunch provided daily, free on-site parking, full PPE provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning production areas by using the correct chemicals and equipment according to the Cleaning Instruction Cards, this can include; Ceilings, higher & lower walls, bowl choppers, electrical sockets & panels, recipe scales and hand sinks.
- Ensure that the Chemical Control Produre (CCP) is adhered to including COSHH Regulations 2002.
- Ensure that dilution of chemicals is in line with the Calculating Cleaning Chemical Concentrations Procedure.
- Abide by the Hygiene and Housekeeping Procedure to ensure all production areas / machinery and staff communal areas are maintained to a high hygiene standards.
- Responsible for completing the following:
- Daily cleaning schedule and record
- Weekly cleaning schedule
- Annual cleaning schedule and record
- Blue dolavs cleaning schedule and record
- Signing off the hygiene verification
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a hygiene role in a busy FMCG business.
- A keen attention to detail, working to the highest standards of hygiene.
- Working knowledge of and experience in Chemical Control.
- Flexible approach to work and open to working additional hours during peak production periods
- Driving licence
- Due to the nature of this role, candidates must have a permanent Right to Work in the UK, residing within a commutable distance to Bedale. Please note, our client cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.
- Please note: This is a physically demanding role requiring a high level of attention to cleanliness, quality, and hygiene.
- Experience in a Hygiene role within a food manufacturer, and training in COSHH or other Health and Safety related controls would be beneficial but not necessary.
